About
Built for the exam in front of you.
Firefighting is an ultra-hazardous activity. The people who do it well trained hard before they ever stepped off the truck. Firehouse Fundamentals helps you put in that work for the written exam.
What it is
Exam-style practice tests for Canadian fire fighter and hazardous materials candidates: Fire Fighter Level I and Level II, Hazmat Awareness and Hazmat Operations. Every question has an explanation of why the right answer is right, and every test is a fresh draw from the whole guide with the answer options reshuffled.
Tests lean toward the material exams test most, and your results show which areas need work, so your study time goes where it counts.
What it follows
Chapters follow Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills and Hazardous Materials Response, Canadian 4th Edition, the textbook MESC requires. Questions were also checked against the Canadian 5th Edition. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Jones & Bartlett Learning, the NFPA, the IAFC or any provincial certifying body.
What it is not
Firehouse Fundamentals is a study aid. It does not certify anyone, and it is not a substitute for your department's training, your instructors or the textbook. On the fireground, follow your training and your department's procedures.
